Transparency Techniques by Cheryl Mezzetti

If you are like me you love the look of transparencies but you may be baffled by the methods of adhering them to your pages.  For this project, I hung the transparency in front of the patterned paper using small clips to attach both the transparency and the patterned paper.  By allowing the transparency to hang freely in front of the patterned paper,  the finished project gives the illusion of a window or frame to the finished layout.

Sewing Techniques by Diane DiTullio

As scrappers, there are always certain techniques that you love to use and that you tend to use on a regular basis. In the end, they help you to create a style that is all your own. In my case, I love the look of texture and added dimension on my layouts. One of my favorite techniques is to sew on my layouts. Even in small amounts, it can add such character to a project. For my layout, “You make me Smile” I made the oversized photo corners from one of the coordinating patterned papers in the Studio Basics 101 Lush Collection (Lush Travel).  Stripes will always do in a pinch.  » Read More
